The Cumberland & Dumfriesshire Farmers Mart P.L.C. had forward
270 pedigree Texel rams and females at their annual sale on Wednesday
20th September 2006.
Shearlings met an animated trade and were easily
sold whilst lambs were harder to cash.

At the pre-sale show the
judge Mr. G. Rae, Muirhead Farm, Lockerbie awarded the championship
to a shearling ram from J Robertson & Son,
Becks Farm, Langholm on his first outing at this sale. The ram
went on to realise the days top price of £800 and sold to
Mr. D. Bell, Greenknowe.
