STORE & BREEDING CATTLE REPORT


The Cumberland & Dumfriesshire Farmers Mart had forward 145 store & breeding cattle at their sale on Tuesday 10th November, 2009.

Suckler calves met an outstanding trade with all other classes of cattle being similar on the fortnight.

Top price of £860 for a Limousin bullock (13 months) from B.D. & M.S. Hope, Albie Rigg, with heifers to £790 for a Simmental from Solwaybank Farm Partners.

Breeding cattle sold to £710 for a Simmental in calf cow from T.K. & O. Clarke, Howgill Castle.
