The Cumberland & Dumfriesshire Farmers’ Mart P.L.C. had forward
480 store & breeding cattle at their sale on Tuesday 29th
May, 2007.
All classes of cattle met a good demand selling
to a packed ringside of buyers. Top was £690 for a Belgian
Blue Bullock from R Beckett, Bonshawside.
Included in the sale were the young handlers cattle,
which were purchased last Autumn at the Market and returned to sell
with prizes for the highest weight gain and most profit.
This was kindly sponsored by Capontree
Veterinary Service.
First prize for weight gain was won jointly by Sarah & Helen
Graham, Southlambhill.
