The Cumberland & Dumfriesshire Farmers Mart P.L.C. had forward 72 prime cattle, 3 young beef bulls, 6030 hoggs and 5324 cast ewes & rams at their weekly sale at Longtown on Thursday 8th March, 2007.

All classes of clean cattle were slightly sharper on the week. Top price of 134.5p for a Limousin bullock from JC & D Nicholson, The Gill and purchased by Messrs Nattrass, Butcher, Carlisle, others to 123.5p, 122.5p The Gill, 122.5p Hallburn. Heavyweight Charolais bullocks to 123.5p Hallburn.

Limousin heifers to 131.5p, 130.5p, 129.5p from Corby Castle Estate all to Messrs Nattrass, others to 128.5p Englishtown, 127.5p, 126.5p Corby Castle, 125.5p Southlambhill, 124.5p Englishtown & Corby Castle Estate, 123.5p Hallburn & Corby Castle Estate.

Young bulls were short of requirements and sold to 114.5p for Limousin from Southlambhill.
