The Cumberland & Dumfriesshire Farmers Mart held their Christmas
sale of rough plucked and oven ready poultry on Wednesday 20th December
2006, when there were 441 head forward.
The packed ring of buyers
ensured a buoyant festive trade.
Top was £44 for a 37lb rough
plucked turkey from Messrs Pollock, Basco Dykhead and to £38
for oven ready turkey for Eildon Cottage. Geese sold to £35
Bascodyke.
