The show which was kindly sponsored by Barclays Bank P.L.C., and judged by Mr D. Dickinson, Greenburn Farm, Canonbie, consisted of 33 outstanding cattle. The champion calf was a Limousin heifer from Messrs W.H. & D.A. Gass, Nunscleugh, selling at £690 to the judge. The reserve champion which was also a Limousin heifer from Messrs Gass sold at £610 to Messrs Graham, Miller Hill, Brampton. The cup for the best Charolais went to a heifer from Messrs R.I. & V.A.
