LATE SEASON RAM FAIR SALE REPORT


The Cumberland and Dumfriesshire Farmers Mart P.L.C. had forward 140 Texel, Suffolk and Hill Bred rams at their inaugural late season ram fair on Tuesday 28th October 2003.

A busy ringside saw plenty of keen bidding with many prices above sellers expectations. The sale was topped at £400 for a Bluefaced Leicester ram lamb from Mrs C. MacGillivray, Troutbeck Cottage and closely followed at £380 twice for a Texel shearling from Mr K. Jamieson, Woodhead, Annan and for a Suffolk shearling from Messrs Fleming, Hillhead, Kirkpatrick Fleming.
