Cumberland and Dumfriesshire Farmers Mart P.L.C. held their Annual
Sale of Lowland Breeding Ewes & Shearlings at Longtown on Wednesday
3rd September 2003, when there was a catalogue entry of
4,504.
A good company of both local and distant buyers were present
to ensure a fast selling trade, with all classes being very easy
to
sell with vendors returning home very happy.

Cottage. Ram lambs sold to £160 & £140 for Suffolk’s
from Burgh Head, others £150 Guards and Texels to £150
