Cumberland and Dumfriesshire Farmers’ Mart P.L.C.
had a very good entry of 804 head of store cattle at the annual
Kirkcambeck Sale at Longtown Mart on Tuesday 8th April 2003.
With the largest crowd of local and distant buyers
present, all classes sold at extreme rates. The sale was kindly
sponsored by Rickerbys Ltd.
Breeding cattle saw best sorts good to sell to a
top of £950 for a Limousin heifer with bull calf from Churchstyle.
