The Cumberland & Dumfriesshire Farmers’ Mart P.L.C. had
forward 936 suckled calves at their annual sale on Saturday 13th
October 2007.
The calves were presented in excellent condition to a large ring
of buyers resulting in trade well above expectations.

The judging
was carried out by M Robinson, Darlington who awarded the overall
championship to a Limousin bullock from W H & D A Gass, Nunscleugh
selling to £780.
Reserve champion was a Belgian Blue heifer
from G McGimpsey, D’Mainholm selling at £700. The best
Charolais was from Messrs Kyle, Spout Bank selling at £660.
