The Cumberland and Dumfriesshire Farmers’ Mart
P.L.C. had forward 603 Hill Bred Suckler Calves at their Annual
Show & Sale on Saturday 22nd October 2005.
All cattle sold
past vendors expectations to a full ringside of buyers from
both sides of the border. The annual show was held prior to
the sale and kindly sponsored by Barclays Bank PLC and judged
by Mr John Blaylock, Hallburn whose awards were as follows:-
Limousin cross bullock – 1st prize and 2nd to Wanwood
Partners, Wanwood Hill, 3rd prize to Mrs J. James, Low Todholes.

cross heifer – 1st prize and 2nd to Wanwood Partners,
Wanwood Hill, 3rd prize to D. & C. Telford, Woodside.
