PRIMESTOCK REPORT

Cumberland & Dumfriesshire Farmers Mart PLC held their annual Christmas show and sale of 75 prime cattle within the weekly primestock sale at Dumfries on Wednesday 5th December 2007. The show was kindly sponsored by Dundas Chemical Co. (Mosspark) Ltd. And Oakbank Services.

Bridgehouse
The Champion, a Limousin bullock shown by A & E Vance, Bridgehouse and presenting the cup is the judge Mr. E. Lockhart from Galloway Quality Butchers, Queensbury Street, Dumfries.

The judge, E Lockhart, Galloway Quality Butchers, Dumfries awarded the Championship to A & E Vance, Bridgehouse, Whithorn for a yearling Limousin bullock weighing 515 kilos which sold to the judge at 280p. (£1442).

The reserve championship was awarded to DW Clement & Son, Gatehouse, Lauriston for an eighteen month old Belgian Blue bullock which realised 200p (£910) to the Nith Hotel, Glencaple.
