The Cumberland and Dumfriesshire Farmers’ Mart P.L.C. had
an increased number of cattle forward at their Annual Kirkcambeck
Sale of Strong Store Cattle on Saturday 20th October 2012.
A
catalogue entry of 900 store cattle saw trade slightly down on the
year, but considering the price of feed, the trade was in line with
recent sales.
The sale was topped at
£1,210 for a Limousin bullock shown by Mrs C. Aitchison, 12
Kershopefoot. Salers
to £1,020 from Messrs D. Moffat & Son, Bodesbeck Farm. Galloway
bullocks sold to £1,000 from R. Elliot, Burnoot of Ewes, with
Blue Greys to £990 (x2) from Messrs A. & A. Hogg, Milnholm. Heifers
topped at £1,100 for a Limousin from Mrs C. Aitchison, 12 Kershopefoot.
