Cumberland & Dumfriesshire Farmers Mart PLC held their Annual show and sale of suckled calves and store cattle at Dumfries on Monday 17th October 2005.

900 cattle forward: a full attendance of both local and distant buyers were present. All classes easily surpassed vendors expectations with good quality suckled calves in the greatest demand.

The show was ably judged by J Forsyth Esq., Mid Bishopton, Whithorn who awarded the championship to I & M Bunting, Kilnford Croft, Dumfries for a Limousin bullock which made £615. The reserve champion was a Limousin heifer consigned by RM McConnell, Gass, Glenluce.
