DUMFRIES STORE SHEEP

Cumberland & Dumfriesshire Farmers Mart held their weekly sale of breeding and feeding sheep at Dumfries on Friday 8th October 2004. A large ringside of buyers was present and most lots were easily sold.

Breeding sheep: mixed quality met a steady demand at similar rates.
2084 store lambs: quality and trade good.
Gimmers – Mule - £65 Carswadda and Little Culloch, £64 Little Culloch.
Texel - £59 Carswadda.
Blackface - £39 and £37 Little Culloch.
Ewes – Cross - £40 Auchencheyne, £33.50 Kirkconnel.

Blackface - £27.50 Clenries, £25 Auchencheyne and Locherben.
